An updated post from The Newcastle RSL Pipe Band who was engaged to perform at the 109th birthday celebration of Dorothy Vine, states she was born April 16.
"On the 16th of April 1915, nine days before the Anzacs landed at Gallipoli, a baby girl named Dorothy came into the world. Yesterday, Dorothy Vine celebrated her 109th birthday a few days early with a High Tea Birthday Party at her home at the Bupa Aged Care facility in Waratah.
We surprised the party revellers with a few tunes and a rendition of Happy Birthday. Juanita the Lifestyle and Community coordinator has reported that the folks are still talking about the band this morning.
Happy Birthday Dorothy Vine."
