Three men on its top 10 oldest living people list! Very impressive! Comparable to Latin America!

Jean Reynolds is the 104th oldest person in Australian history.
Victoria has two names on the list again. February 17, 2025, was the last time it had two names on the list, and then it had three.
Western Australia has three names on the list again, the last time it was on the list on June 13, 2024.

Western Australia only has circa 3 million people, or around 11% of the Australian population so is performing well in that regard.

NSW, Queensland and Victoria all have circa 5 to 8 million people with the first two also having a higher proportion of retired people, so the first two in particular should dominate these lists more; over time.

Climatic factors are a risk in the summer, rather than the winter.

Edna Hayes was confirmed alive as of Wednesday 23rd October.

Interestingly Australia managed to break the world record by assembling 150 centenarians in the same place on that day.

Ms Hayes was confrmed on the national news as being the oldest of the 150 centenarians, hence none of Australia’s supercentenarians can have been present.

@diego I believe the answer is no. Until Flo Fuss' death on 7 April 1999, there were 6 living SCs. From Catherine Wilson's 110th birthday on 30 March 2014 Until Jane Gray's death on 7 June 2014, there were 5 living SCs. From Rosina Lazzarini's 110th brthday on 11 March 2016 until Evelyn Vigor's death on 26 April 2016, there were 6 living SCs. From Avis Sheedy's 110th birthday on 25 May 2018 until her death on 25 June 2018, there were 5 living SCs.

Thank you very much for your reply. I hope Edna Hayes' birthday is confirmed for November 1st, which is already being celebrated in Australia. If confirmed, it will be the first time the list is completed with 10 110+ since it began being published here, and probably in history.

At this stage Diego, i can’t find any statistics that exceed what musicotic has said above.
