Ms. Lucia Laura "Laurina" Sangenito of Sturno, Avellino, Campania Region (ITA) turns 114 years old today.
She was born in the same village on 22 November 1910.
She is the 10th validated World's OLP, 2nd OLP in Italy behind Ms. Baccarini (114.1) and the OLP in Campania Region.
Official confirmation of few minutes ago from the family:

I just spoke with Laurina and her daughter. We'll see each other in March, heaven willing 🤞🏻
Laurina has improved a bit since June, says her daughter. Laurina told me: "thank you so much and best wishes for good health to you too!"
Very kind and nice. And she told me "I'm sorry about the name, I can't say it!'
(a bit difficult for her to say Alessandro)

Lucia Laura Sangenito, the second-oldest living person in Italy, celebrates her 114th birthday today at her home in Sturno, Campania.
Lucia Laura Sangenito was born in Sturno, Campania, Italy on 22 November 1910. On 2 February 1939, she got married and went on to have four children, of whom two died immediately after birth. Her two surviving children are Michele (aged 84 in 2024) and Maria (aged 79 in 2024). She worked as an agricultural laborer and served as a midwife for the children of Sturno. Her husband was a farmer.
She voted for the Republic in the 1946 Italian institutional referendum. Her mother died at the age of 101.
On 17 November 2023, following the death of 113-year-old Domenica Ercolani, she became the second-oldest living person in Italy, behind Claudia Baccarini.
On 1 June 2024, Alessandro Delucchi, a representative of LongeviQuest and the European Supercentenarian Organisation, had the honor of visiting her at her home in Sturno.
As of 22 November 2024, she is the 10th-oldest living person in the world.
