Clicking on the link only leads you to a post for her 107th birthday though, but the link on the oldest people in Canada wiki page leads to the one for her 110th, which was quoting the post from 2020 so that’s why it only led to the old post

@ale76 have you received any confirmation of Mariangiola Varrone celebrating her 109th birthday? (The only source for her I’ve seen before is the Italian longevity website so I thought you might be the one who would receive confirmation)

My country has really not been doing well at producing supercentenarians recently. Only five people that we know of born in 1913 celebrated their birthdays, and two were not known of until they died; only two are currently alive. 1914 only has three known people remaining. Hopefully a few more show up this year

I think it's more so that your country isn't doing well at reporting its oldest residents while they're still alive.

Can someone try and find a date of birth for this woman? She was born in 1914 and died on 28 November 2023 at 109, so she may have been in the top ten

Irene Lantz (née Perpeluk) of Edmonton, Alberta, born on 2 March 1914; would replace Mrs. Varrone in tenth place, and if everyone survives another 39 days, there will be a 110+ top ten again (although there likely already is given that we know a lot of people go unreported). She is likely the oldest person in Alberta
