Hiroshima prefecture reports that its oldest living person is 111-year-old Misao Kobayashi (小林貞) of Hiroshima City, born on 27 October 1913. The oldest living man in the prefecture wishes to remain anonymous.

The oldest living person in Niigata prefecture is 111-year-old Chiyono Eguchi (江口チヨノ) of Agano, born on 12 May 1914. The oldest living man in the prefecture has not been publicly identified. It seems we have missed Mrs Eguchi's 111th birthday report, which I have also added as an attachment.

The oldest living person in Chiba prefecture is a 112-year-old anonymous woman from Kimitsu, born on 30 October 1912. In addition, 112-year-old Hanako Ishii (石井花子) of Kamogawa, born on 7 May 1913, is also reported alive. As three 111-year-olds are reported, this means two of the five 110-year-olds from last year have entered limbo. Also, there are four 110-year-olds on this year's list. Hopefully, if like every previous year Chiba prefecture releases a list of demographics per city, we will have a better clue of who is still alive, and who has entered limbo. Finally, the oldest living man in the prefecture is 108-year-old Eito Kawase (強瀬衛人) of Tateyama, born on 1 April 1917.

The oldest living person in Nagano prefecture is 112-year-old Takeko Miyazawa (宮澤たけ子) of Aoki, who was born on 29 June 1913. The oldest living man in the prefecture is 107-year-old Jirō Kiuchi (木内治郎) of Saku, who was born on 4 January 1918.

The oldest living person in Kagawa prefecture is 111-year-old Tsutae Hayashi (林ツタエ) of Tadotsu, born on 28 October 1913. In addition to her, there are two other 111-year-olds in the prefecture: Kimie Baraki (茨木君江) of Kan'onji, born on 13 August 1914, and an anonymous woman from Zentsūji. Although the oldest man is not publicly identified, the 100+ statistics that the prefecture has also released reveal that he must be 107 years old.

Okinawa prefecture has released its list of the twenty oldest living people in the prefecture. A special word of appreciation to Straycat on the 110 Club for providing information about the bottom five women on the list.

Oddly enough, this list reports two 108-year-olds from Ginowan, even though the demographics for Ginowan only report one. I can think of two possible reasons:
- one of the two is officially a resident in Ginowan, but not actually living there;
- one of the two died (very) shortly before 1 September 2025.

Fukuoka City reports that its oldest living resident is a 110-year-old woman. The oldest living men in the city are 105 years old.

The oldest living person in Aomori prefecture is a 109-year-old woman from Rokunohe. The oldest living man is a 107-year-old from Tsugaru.

The oldest living person in Tochigi prefecture is 108-year-old Shitsui Hakoishi (箱石シツイ) of Nakagawa, born on 10 November 1916. The oldest living man in the prefecture is 107-year-old Akifusa Komaba (駒場明房) of Nikkō, born on 1 September 1918.

Today is Respect for the Aged Day 🫶

I attended the Katayama District Respect for the Aged Day event held at Yamato University.

In the afternoon, I also visited the Yamaichi District Respect for the Aged Day event.

It was unusually hot for September, but many people attended.

Congratulations to everyone on their longevity! ㊗️

The oldest living person in Tottori prefecture is 111-year-old Haruko Tanaka (田中春子) of Tottori City, born on 7 March 1914. The oldest living man in the prefecture is 104-year-old Shigeru Iwamoto (岩本茂) of Yurihama, born in December 1920. This means that last year's oldest man, an anonymous man born in February 1918, has entered limbo.

She was visited by the governor of the prefecture on 15 September (second article, including a video - if anyone can download it, please do so). The oldest living man in the prefecture is 108-year-old Masanao Yoshida (吉田正直) of Takashima, born on 25 April 1917.

The oldest living person in Iwate prefecture is 112-year-old Ichi Kubota (久保田イチ) of Miyako, born on 30 May 1913. She was visited to celebrate her longevity on 15 September 2025 (second article, including a video; if anyone can download it, please do so). The oldest living man in the prefecture is 108-year-old Katsuyoshi Mikami (三上一禧) of Rikuzentakata, born on 11 May 1917.

The oldest living person in Yamagata prefecture is an anonymous 110-year-old woman. The oldest living man in the prefecture is 107-year-old Takeshi Katō (加藤武) of Shōnai.

The oldest living person in Yamanashi prefecture is 112-year-old Tomi Ōno (大野とみ) of Tsuru, born in February 1913. Surprisingly, the oldest living man in the prefecture is 106-year-old Eizō Itō (伊藤英三), also of Tsuru, born in November 1918. This means that 110-year-old Shigeyoshi Nishijima (西嶋重義) of Kōfu, born on 29 September 1914 has entered limbo - even though he was still alive on 31 August 2025!

The two most logical explanations for this:

• he died in the early days of September 2025;
• or he was overlooked. As Kōfu releases monthly demographics for the city, we will know more in early October.

The oldest living person in Ibaraki prefecture is 111-year-old Take Satō (佐藤タケ) of Shimotsuma, born on 21 November 1913. The oldest living man in the prefecture is 106-year-old Shigeo Kameya (亀谷重夫) of Hitachinaka, born on 1 February 1919.

An official report by the prefecture specifies the identities of these two people: the woman is Moto Akaishi (赤石モト), born on 23 June 1916. The man is Seishirō Miura (三浦清四郎), born on 31 March 1918.
