Mrs. Frances Victoria Volz likely passed away in late 2023 according to Find-A-Grave. She was born on 13 July 1913 and was the second-oldest person in Minnesota behind now-deceased Lillian Moran

May she rest in peace.
It's fascinating her 98-year-old mother had two longer-lived siblings; a 100- and a 105-year-old sister.

She was ranked 36th oldest person in the USA, but this position is wrong, as other people died after her. Does anyone know who the oldest person in Minnesota is now?
RIP
@diego According to my files, I have a Gertrude Larson, born on 4 April 1916 as the oldest current resident, but there could be someone else I'm unaware of. In fact, upon a quick Google search I found: Erna Carlstrom, born 25 Apr 1915, confirmed alive just last month by her assisted living home. With a quick search on Ancestry, I find a baptismal record supporting her date of birth (her maiden name was Schubert).
2023 news article gives the following information:
Recognition certificate from the mayor of Saint Paul, states that "Erna Katherine Schubert was born on April 25th, 1915, to Matthew and Katherine Schubert who emigrated from Austria in the 1890's to Chicago, Illinois", "in 1933, Erna married Roy W. Carlstrom, and after time living in Evansville, Indiana and Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the family moved back to Chicago during World War II with Roy"
2005 sister Elsa Marshall's obituary, names her
1978 sister Martha Swanson's obituary, names her
1968 father Matthew Schubert's obituary, names her and her sisters
1959 husband's obituary [matches info in 2023 article]
1952 birth registration of son, confirms maiden name
1950 census match, supports 1915/1916 [first census during which she resided in Minnesota, matches 2023 article]
1942 husband's WWII draft card, names her as "Erna Schubert Carlstrom"
1940 census match, supports 1914/1915
1930 census match, supports 1914/1915
1920 census match, supports 1915 (she is recorded as 4 years, 8 months on 1 Jan 1920)
1915 baptismal record, giving a date of baptism of 25 July 1915 and a date of birth of 25 April 1915

She looks like she is doing quite well and is still enjoying her life, so we can hope she makes SC status next year
And she has the same first name as her state's oldest person ever
@diego @mrcatlord I regret to inform you both that Erna Carlstrom has died on 6 Jun 2024, age 109.
