Morris Wioskowski (Hebrew: מוריס ויסקובסקי) – of Gedera, Shfela, Israel – sadly passed away on 28 April 2023, aged 110 years, 275 days. He was born in Poland on 27 July 1912, and lived in the United Kingdom for some of his life, where he served in the British army. Later in his life, he moved to Israel.
It appears that his case was unknown to anyone outside of Israel until yesterday, when I came across a post about him from August 2022 on his retirement home’s Facebook page, which includes a photo of him at the age of 110:
Gabriel Ainsworth was able to get into contact with the page, and they confirmed his surname and date of death. While we sadly weren’t able to recognize his longevity while he was alive, we can say that he was likely the oldest living man born in Poland, as well as the oldest living person in Israel.
