LongeviQuest has confirmed that the world's 3rd-oldest validated living man, the oldest living person in El Salvador, and also the oldest validated person ever from the country, Mr. Rivas Garcia, sadly passed away today, 17 April 2023, at the age of 111 years, 243 days.
He was born on 17 August 1911.
Rest in peace.
We deeply thank his family because of their cooperation to successfully complete the validation of Mr. Santos Rivas.
The new oldest living person in El Salvador is Mrs. Sabina Garay (born on 10 February 1912), aged 111. Although her case is pending.

R.I.P. to one of my favorite SCs, the doyen of El Salvador. Mr. Santos Rivas was an amazing man, and may he have eternal rest and peace in the portal up above.
