Ms. Rita Rosaria Lotta of Monteiasi, Taranto, Apulia Region (ITA) sadly passed away on 1st August 2024 aged 111 years and 258 days.

She was born in the same village on 17 November 1912.

She was the 6th OLP in Italy and the OLP in Apulia Region.

She died at the same age as Maria de la O Soria (Spain) (1898-2009) Maria Pogonowska (POL-ISR) 1897-2009 and Florence Rowland (USA) 1879-1990. She was the 6th oldest living person in Italy, her successor as the oldest person born in Apulia is Gilda Poli born on 22 Mar 1915 and the 38th oldest person living in Italy. Does anyone know who is the oldest person living there now, as Gilda lives in Liguria. She is the 58th oldest person in the history of Italy and the 3rd oldest person born and died in Apulia in history, she was the 28th oldest person living in Europe
