Seki Yoshida - of Shirosato, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan - sadly passed away on the 11th February 2024 at the age of 114 years, 38 days. At the time of her death, she was the 4th oldest validated living person in Japan and the 11th oldest validated living person in the world.
She was born on 4th January 1910 in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.
May she rest in peace.
Interested in supercentenarians since 2017.

She was the 48th oldest in the history of Japan, the second oldest in the history of Ibaraki

Rest in Peace, Seki Yoshida. She stood firmly as the oldest person born in 1910 for a long time, and now that title belongs to Mrs. Taira who was born in last April

After Ms. Yoshida sadly passed away, the new oldest living person in Ibaraki is Ms. Ina Okazawa. She was born on March 10, 1910 and she lives in Toride, Ibaraki.
