RIP Mrs. Jefferson. She always looked really good for her age

Mary Franklin has gained the titles of both the oldest person in her state and the oldest person born in her state of birth within a week of each other
(edit: Franklin was likely born in Alabama)
@mrcatlord Keep in mind that Mary Franklin was most likely born in Alabama. All census records for her report a birth in Alabama and her parents resided in Attalla, Alabama for the 1910 census.

But she is validated as born in Virginia, is there a reason for that?
@diego Longeviquest has her birth place as "private" while mentioning in the text that she was born in Virginia. The GRG's validation of her mentions that this is in error: see here. I am not sure if Longeviquest has more information we are not privy to, but her census records point towards Alabama.
Thank you very much for the information.
So the oldest person born in Virginia, if not Mary Franklin, would be Virginia Bell, born on Jan 29, 1914 and the 47th oldest person in the country? Or is there someone born before?
RIP Ms. Jefferson
