Ms. Masu Usui (臼井ます), the oldest living person in Shizuoka Prefecture (JPN) and a resident of Oyama Town, sadly passed away on 21 May 2025 at the age of 114 years and 154 days.

She was born on 18 December 1910 in Oyama Town (JPN).

Ms. Usui had just become the oldest living person in Japan following the death of Ms. Mine Kondo on 20 May 2025.

She was the 7th OLP in the world.

Even if it was just for a few hours, it's good to hear she held the title of OLP in Japan – a very rare and honoured achievement.

Rest in peace, Masu Usui.
