Mr. Raoul Du Plessis De Grenédan of Baden, Morbihan, Brittany (France) sadly passed away on 24 June 2025, aged 110 years and 60 days.
He was born on 25 April 1915.
He was the 2nd oldest living man in France after Mr. Le Coutour (111), 7th documented OLM in Europe, 35th OLP in France.

For a second I thought he was an unknown supercentenarian but then I realised that he was the anonymous man of Brittany.
RIP. 1915 is looking to be a very weak year for French supercentenarians going down the road.
Be kind to everyone. Treat everyone like they're your own family. Don't judge others. Accept everyone for who they are regardless of what they do or look like.

@cameramanny118 we don't know if Rene Benoist de Saint-Ange ever made it to 110 though
@cameramanny118 These next few years it is to be expected, due to the drop in births.
May he RIP. 🙁

You can blame his son for that, for not reporting his death on time. A gigantic tragedy!

Yep, France and presumably some other countries as well experienced a significant drop in births in 1915-1919 due to World War I.
Sort of a random question, but was this 18th century French aristocrat a distant ancestor and/or relative of his?
I'm asking because of the same last name. Age 92 for a man in 1788 is pretty impressive. Especially for a very famous man.
@futurist No, the Plessis-Mauron de Grenédan family originates in Brittany. http://poudouvre.over-blog.com/2018/10/quelques-notes-sur-la-famille-du-plessis-mauron-de-grenedan.html
Rest im eternal peace, Mr. Raoul Du Plessis De Grenédan.
I wonder if he was named after this likely relative of his, who was killed in WWI several months earlier:

Rest in peace Mr De Grenedan.
