Ms. Lita Margarita Argandoña Moreira of Portoviejo, Manabí Province, Ecuador, sadly passed away on 1 January 2026 at the age of 110 years, 55 days.

She was born in Ecuador on 7 November 1915.

At the moment of her death, she was the nation’s second-oldest known resident, after Rosa Elena Pinzón.

Her case is under review.
