Ms. Chiyo Yanagawa (柳川チヨ), who was the oldest living person in Yao City, Osaka pr. (JPN) entered limbo, aged 112.

She was last confirmed alive on 31 March 2024.

She was born on 28 September 1911 in Japan.

According to demographic statistics, as of 30 September 2024, the oldest person in the city is a 108-year-old woman.

RIP Chiyo Yanagawa. This means her, Nitta, Sato, Miura, and M.H. are all deceased when they were believed to be alive a month ago (Asayo Sato actually was and died later). So there is now a gap of six months between Kagawa and Kane Toriba, and the second half of 1911 has far fewer people than the first half, many of whom are not in good condition

But 1911 still has a small number scheduled to reach 113 this year, so let’s see where we end up.

Winnie Felps is turning 113 in a few hours, and there is Toriba and Kishimoto born in December

And there is probably a couple more Japanese people including Hokkaido's Kiyo Ito born sometime between Oct-Dec and possibly a woman in Hyogo I think
