For those interested, the ranking of validated 113 + supercentenarian deaths by year, prioritised in a "tie" by the most 114 + deaths appears to be as follows.

It appears I forgot to update the number of yearly 113+ deaths for 2023, but ultimately the final number of 18, was comparatively modest compared to some of the other more recent years.
Sadly, with the announcement of the deaths of Ms Itooka and Ms Blain, the number of 113+ deaths for 2024 appears to have surpassed the all time record of 31, reached in 2019. The new highest total is now 32.
This came about through the second most 114+ deaths we've seen (of 15) and also the second most 113 year old deaths (at 17).
Numbers for all years exclude the circa 32, 113+ validations that just the GRG have verified in recent years. Unless subsequently verified by ESO and/or LQ, these 32 will not be included.
