The Netherlands has released its competing song for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest.
S10 (pronounce as "es teen") will represent us with the song "De Diepte," "The Depth," the first Dutch entry since 2010 to be sung in Dutch.
I quite like it, I have to say!

Ever since the original three Sugababes have come back together and joined forces once more, they've teased us with songs and snippets of songs - yet, unfortunately, we still await the release of their first comeback album.
Of their released songs, I especially like "I'm Alright," which you can listen to by clicking on the link.
Definitely one that's ended up in my "favourites" folder.

I just simply love instrumental metal songs. Today I listened to this one like 5 times on the train and the tram, on the way to and from school.

I have gotten the instrumental song "Telstar" by The Tornados stuck in my head. It's 60 years old but that doesn't make it any less amazing.
Right now I love ¡Viva La Gloria! By Green Day, as well as Lost It All by a YouTuber called Roomie 🙂

The perfect mix of emotion, folklore, and modern influences, accompanied by a mesmerising video clip.
Mabel Matiz - Mendilimde Kırmızım Var.
The title of the song literally translates to "I've Got Red in my Handkerchief," implying he's cried so much that it's made him bleed.
3:05 - 3:43 perfectly illustrates the emotions that this song evokes.

After researching Karen Svisdal of Norway I got reminded of the song "I'm my own grandpa". Her stepdaughter from her second marriage married her son from her first marriage.
Vanessa Carlton... but I can't choose. So the best song from each album. 🙂
Vanessa Carlton - Paradise (album: Be Not Nobody, 2002)
Vanessa Carlton - Half a Week before the Winter (album: Harmonium, 2004)
Vanessa Carlton - Home (album: Heroes & Thieves, 2007)
Vanessa Carlton - Hear the Bells (album: Rabbits on the Run, 2011) (sooooooooo hauntingly beautiful...)
Vanessa Carlton - Operator (album: Liberman, 2015) (or is Nothing Where Something Used to Be better?! Can't really choose, ugh!)
Vanessa Carlton - Die Dinosaur (album: Love Is an Art, 2020)
I was (almost) 14 when A Thousand Miles was released back in 2002. I've literally grown up with Vanessa, and with her being just eight years older than me, it also feels like she's part of my generation (or maybe I'm part of hers). Hence, in a way, her music seems to represent who I am.

Death Cab for Cutie - Tiny Vessels
My favourite indie band by a mile.
All I see are dark grey clouds
in the distance moving closer with every hour.
So when you ask "Is something wrong?"
I think "You're damn right there is, but we can't talk about it now.
No, we can't talk about it now."

@024tomi I've had Magashegyi Underground's Egytől Hétig in my Spotify playlist since our Hungarian holiday back in 2019... still listening to it quite regularly! 😊

El Carretero by Buena Vista Social Club is a super good Latin American song if you're making a slideshow about Latin American Supercentenarians.
I recommend checking it out! 🎶

Andreas Gabalier lost his father and his younger sister. They commited suicide. First his Dad. The young lady didn´t want to live longer without him. She ended the same way, took a petrolcan, doused her body........
My blood freezes in my veins when I think of this incredible tragedy...
Andreas Gabalier, a very popular Austrian musician, wrote this hymn for his family members. The text and the melody.
This heartbreaking song is of iconic state in German speaking countries. Here is the text in English. He is singing in broad dialect, by the way.
One of my absolute (ten) favourite songs. An unbelievable icon of the 80s with amazing contemporary memories. I cannot express in words what this masterpiece means to me. Holly Johnson is an outstanding phenomenom and his music is so great. I admire his talent and his music creates goosebumps.
So guys, enjoy. Especially the youngsters who don´t know him. The first recording in the list is pretty new. Taken in my beloved Italy. You will find other versions and the original from 1984.
Feedback is welcome.
