Charlotte Kretschmann was born on December 3, 1909 in Breslau (now Wroclaw), Silesia, Germany (now POL).

Mrs. Kretschmann has been the oldest known living person in Germany since the death of Ms. Cernohorsky on 18 September 2022, as well as the last known surviving person in Germany who was born in the 1900s decade.

As of April 4, 2023, she lives in Kirchheim unter Teck, Baden-Wuerttemberg (GER).

Today Ms. Kretschmann ties Ms. Josefine Ollmann, the oldest validated person lived in Germany, at 113 years and 247 days. If validated, she will become the oldest validated person to have ever lived in Germany.
