Dear Mr. Tsubaki, I don't want to be rude but the Title says "Recent Deaths" and here we're talking about a lady passed away in 1980, over 42 years ago....

May Ms. Artemievna Konshina rest in peace.

I've gone one step further and I have added a restriction which is also mentioned in the forum rules:

- The threshold age for women is 108+, so please resort to reporting Russian women who died at the age of 108 or above.

- For men, the threshold age is 107+.

Thank you for your understanding.

Do you have any idea, @mr-tsubaki, whether it's possible to research this claim? How accessible are Russian archives/records from smaller towns and places?

Overduidelijk misschien.

It seems to me that it is possible to check this case, but it is difficult. Usually, records of birth and death in our country during the time of the Russian Empire were recorded in metric books.

Nizhny Tagil in 1884 was not yet a city and belonged to the Verkhotursky district of the Perm province. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the metric book for 1884 (if it has been preserved).
Are there enough records in the metric book for verification?

P.S. It is known so far only that Vasily Dmitrievich was married to Alexandra Stepanovna Zykova (May 6, 1886 - November 2, 1979; 93 years old) and they were buried in the same grave.

P.P.S. I did not answer for a long time, as I was very busy. I'm sorry.

Would you be able to conduct research into the claim of Maria Strelnikova (1890?-2005)?

He was born in Ripentsy, Khmelnytskyi Oblast

What's more, Osadchuk is ethnically Ukrainian, and after WWll moved to the then Russian socialist Soviet Republic, as he himself mentioned in 2022:

Thank you very much for the information and the link, the oldest man living in the country cannot even access a wheelchair, even though he is a war veteran (which, by the way, it is always regrettable to have wars, people could be more peaceful). a great story and I hope you get a wheelchair at least

Amazing! Russia no longer has any living men who were born before Lenin's coup in November 1917!

Interesting that Russia's current oldest living man is only 106. That's very low, especially considering just how many births Russia (even within its current borders) had 110+ years ago. Just shows how extraordinarily harsh and brutal the effects of both Nazism and Communism were on extreme Russian and ex-USSR extreme male longevity.

Osadchuk was born in Ukraine.

Now the oldest (known) living Russian-born man who lives in Russia is Stepan Andreevich Tyushkevich (b. 25 December 1917 in Irkuck Oblast) and currently lives in Moscow, Moscow Oblast.

It's disturbing, but...

It turned out that I was wrong. I found this man born a few months before the October Revolution:

Nikolay Fyodorovich Karpulev (b. 25 April 1917) now 107.

Mr. Valentin Roslyakov, oldest known living man and WW2 veteran in Russia, sadly passed away on 31st August 2024 at the claimed age of 108 y.o.

https://www.spb.kp.ru/daily/27628.5/4978935/

RIP.

He is considered the 8th oldest man in Russian history, his successor is Sergey Mikhailovich Furaev, considered the 9th oldest man in Russian history, he was born on May 5, 1916, while the oldest man born in Russia now is Leonid Lazarevich Skvortsov born on March 19, 1916 in Vologda Oblast, but lives in Belarus and is the 8th oldest emigrant in Russian history, and the oldest man in the history of Siberia. He was also the 25th oldest living man in Europe.

It turns out that Sergey Mikhailovich Furaev died earlier, he died on April 26, 2024 at the age of 107 years, 357 days, being the 11th oldest man in Russian history, with that Ivan Nikolayevich Osadchuk is the oldest man in the country, 10th in history, he was born on July 18, 1916 in Voronezh Oblast where he still lives.
