Does anyone know who the oldest living person in Turkey is now?
Muazzez İlmiye Çığ öldü mü? Muazzez İlmiye Çığ kimdir? (aydinlik.com.tr)
Rest in peace, Muazzez İlmiye Çığ.
@diego I highly doubt she's the oldest person ever to live in Turkey.

At least officially so far
Which candidates do we have above her?
Officially? Which institution or organization confirmed her to have been the oldest ever?
I don't know about any plausible candidates, but it's almost impossible that the all-time record is 110 years, 150 days in a country developed as much as Turkey and with a population of 85 million (12-15 million 110+ years ago).

Officially in the sense of known, if we do not know of another plausible case it is considered, at least until the moment of discovery of another official case, we all know that this area is difficult, as there are frauds and some families do not facilitate the disclosure/consultation of documents, so until we know of another case she is considered the oldest person to die in Turkey.
