Elizabeth Francis was born on July 25, 1909 in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana (USA). She later moved to Houston, Texas (USA). She currently lives with her daughter in Houston. Ms. Francis' sister Bertha Johnson (1904–2011) lived to the age of 106, making them one of the oldest sibling pairs.
As of February 28, 2023, Mrs. Francis is the 10th-oldest validated living person in the World and the 4th-oldest validated living person in the USA behind Ms. Ceccarelli (115), Ms. Plummer (114.6) and Ms. Willis (114).
As a young woman.
On her 110th birthday in 2019.
In February 2021 at the age of 111.
Celebrating her 112th birthday in July 2021.
Celebrating her 113th birthday in July 2022.

On 17 May 2023, following the sad passing of Ms. Willis, Ms. Francis became the 9th-oldest validated living person.

She is, said to be the first validated supercentenarian of LongeviQuest.

On 25 May 2023, following the sad passing of Ms. Plammer, Ms. Francis became the 8th-oldest validated living person.

On 4 July 2023, following the sad passing of Ms. Makishi, Ms. Francis became the 7th-oldest validated living person.

Ms. Francis has reached the age of Nina Willis and become the oldest American born in 1909, and oldest African-American since Hester Ford

For a change, a male has the year's longevity title - at this stage.

@chrisr Ushi Makishi is still the oldest woman born in 1909. Elizabeth will hopefully reach her age in a couple weeks
