You are right, everything can happen in 4 months and even more considering that the last 2 supercentenarians did not exceed 114 years and 140 days, (Nina Willis and Ushi Makishi)

The age of 114 years has a large mortality rate.

It is that Juan Vicente Pérez Mora looks very good and is in good health, so it is impossible not to get excited and venture out.

Without tempting fate, he does look and seem as good as one could hope for, in respect of any living 114 year old.

I also looked at the climate and temperature ranges for numerous parts of Venezuela the other day and the daily average high (and low) temperatures do not vary much at all, hence climatic factors logically also favour him.

I certainly wouldn't be surprised if he's still with us in a couple of years' time.

In the past few days, Juan Vicente Perez Mora has regained the position of being the oldest known person born in 1909.

He held the position earlier on, largely through earlier validation than many other 1909 born candidates, but has regained it for now.

1891 and 1897 are the last occasions a male achieved the status of oldest person by year of birth.

With a small number of unverified, older 1909 born people remaining and 7 other verified ladies still living from 1909, the odds are currently against him being finally confirmed as 1909’s oldest ever person - but he’s right in the mix.

As a mark of respect for Juan Vicente Perez Mora, its worth noting that he has now surpassed the pending age of Mr Tomas Pinales Figuereo.

Health permitting, the next calendar month from today could see him break into the all time top 4 males and also the all time top 100 oldest verified people.    

2 days ago he tied the invalidated age of Tomas Pinales Figuereo, aged 114 years and 177 days!

Even if considering Tomas Pinales Figuereo's case were true, now Juan Vicente Perez Mora is the oldest Latin American ever (exclude Anisio Rodrigues Alves case...), the oldest man ever who was born in the 1900s, and the oldest man who lived in the 2020s.

Besides Anísio, he's still behind Emiliano Mercado del Toro and Horacio Celi Mendoza in this regard.

As of today, (1 Dec) reaching the age of 41,826 days (in his case 114-188) means Juan Vicente Perez Mora claims a place in the all time top 5 longest verified male lifespans.

What a magnificent achievement. 

Juan Vicente Perez Mora is now the fifth oldest living person. He is the first man in the top five since Kimura over a decade ago. South America now has two people in the top five for the first time since October 2021

As of today the top 100 milestone is 114-208, which  is still some way off.

Some earlier milestone are.

A spot in the top 150. The entry point is occupied by Minnie Whicker and Carmen Jaramillo Lopez and is only four days off.

The mark of Yukichi Chugani on 1 December 23.

Then the mark of Walter Breuning on 17 December.

The top 100 would occur 3 days after that.

As I'm doing the math, turns out, last time Breuning was surpassed, was the second day of my last denarian year. It was before, but not long before, I entered the space. 

Yes, these very special achievements are coming to pass.

If he does make the top 100 in the next few days he  will also be the first male to enter this realm since Jiroemon Kimura. back in 2011.

Today Mr. Perez Mora ties the final age of Ms. Anna Eliza Williams of UK and Carrie Lazenby of USA at 114 years 208 days and he enters Top 100 Oldest People Ever!!! 
Congratulations!!

My heartfelt blessing to him for surpassing the age of Walter Breuning and becoming the fourth validated oldest man in history.
He also surpassed the final age of Faustina Sarmiento Pupo, the longevity record holder from fellow Latin American country Cuba.

Conclusions are often subjective and for males could be impacted by the two most senior male cases that are pending. (116-229 and 114-265)

it is interesting that the midpoint of the ages of Walter Breuning and Emiliano Mercado del Toro is circa 114-363 which pretty much aligns with the 115th birthday.

So without ever trivialising JVPM’s wonderful day to day existence, this will make for some interesting future observance and opinions.

Given that he is the oldest man of the last decade and oldest man born in the 20th century, and that most people, from what I have seen, saw much less potential in him early on than other male SCs of the last decade (yet he keeps going, whilst maintaining in remarkably stable condition health-wise), Mr. Perez Mora is a very unique supercentenarian, likely one of the most unique of all time

I cannot overlook these great milestones that Juan Vicente Pérez Mora has achieved and congratulate him on these milestones.

Congratulations Juan Vicente Perez Mora for surpassing the age of Walter Breuning and entering the TOP 100 of oldest validated people in history.

It is without a doubt an incredible milestone, since 2011 no man has entered the list.

And I agree that once Juan Vicente Pérez Mora reaches 115 years old and enters 115, it will be a very interesting topic of discussion.

But that's still 5 months away, let's enjoy that he's still here and broke these incredible records, I hope he's still here for a long time.
