The Doyenne of Argentina is Ms. Casilda Ramona Benegas de Gallego (born 8 April 1907 in Trinidad, Itapua, Paraguay, 115).
She is the fourth-oldest validated living person in the world, behind Soeur André (FRA), Ms. Juniewicz (UKR/POL), and Ms. Branyas Morera (SPA/USA).
She is the first validated supercentenarian born in Paraguay, and she is also the oldest validated person to ever reside in Argentina.
She has been the oldest validated living person in South America since the death of Ms. da Santa Cruz on 23 January 2022. On 13 May 2020, she surpassed the age of Ms. Moyano to become the oldest validated person ever to live in Argentina.
Ms. Benegas de Gallego currently lives in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
