Mijo Martinović who is currently the oldest known living man in Bosnia and Herzegovina (since 14.02.2022) TURNED 105 YEARS on 13 September 2022. He lives alone in his house in the village of Mamići in the municipality of Široki Brijeg in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Happy 105th birthday to war II veteran and the oldest living man in Bosnia and Herzegovina Mijo Martinović. He is in good health and has no health problems.
Mijo Martinović, the oldest known living man in Bosnia and Herzegovina, unfortunately fell and broke his hip. He was operated on 21 October 2022 at the SKB Mostar. The surgery was a success and doctors said he has the potential to walk again.
At the age of 105, he is also the oldest patient ever operated on in SKB Mostar and in the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Previously, the oldest operated patient in Bosnia and Herzegovina was Dragoljub Galić (1909-2018), who at the age of 104 underwent heart surgery and was then implanted with a pacemaker.
In a few days, Mijo Martinović should be discharged from the hospital. Until now, he lived alone and took care of himself completely, who will take care of him now is unknown, probably his daughter who lives in the same village and is more than 80 years old.
