113th birthday photos. His relative said "the whole town celebrated his birthday".
According his relative there were 9 soldiers who escorted him from his own home to the church where they officiated mass.
Several officials from the national government attended, and a protocol of acts was carried out in the church and then in the afternoon mariachis went to his home.
The national and international press were present, and the celebration was broadcast by the radio network of stations from over than 17 cities in Venezuela.

We were several days late but last night we finally put together a Venezuelan dinner to celebrate Juan Vicente Pérez Mora's 113th birthday. We had a delicious Venezuelan chicken salad made with avocados and served with Venezuela's daily bread called arepas that we made using a precooked white maize flour called Harina PAN. And for dessert we made Venezuelan flan (quesillo). ¡Feliz Cumpleaños, Señor Pérez Mora!

I know it was just a dream, but last night I had a dream in which I was transported into the future and saw on social media that Juan Vicente Perez Mora had broken Jiroemon Kimura's record of 116 years 54 days. In the dream Juan was a few days away from celebrating his 117th birthday and was alive and happy and healthy. I hope this is one dream that comes true! Best wishes Juan Vicente!
