It turns out that Andre Ludwig was never Doyen of France, since 112-year-old Georges Thomas was older and was only discovered after his death.
Happy 111th birthday!
Although I wonder about the fact that Georges Thomas was a Scorpio. Scorpio individuals tend to like their privacy. Quite a few supercentenarians who don't become known to us until after they die, are Scorpio.
Be kind to everyone. Treat everyone like they're your own family. Don't judge others. Accept everyone for who they are regardless of what they do or look like.

Wonderful to see yet another male reaching 111 in recent times.
Happy late 111th birthday, Mr. Le Coutour! 🙂
Honestly, he looks great on his 111th birthday here:
Obviously way too early to speculate, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he will surpass Georges Thomas's all-time validated record for French men (112y,195d) and even become the first validated French man to reach age 113+ in less than two years' time!
Congratulations to Mr Le Coutour.

Most of the oldest validated French men ever have died within the last 10 years. Maybe it's because the post-1900 generation of French men wasn't devastated by World War I (and of course World War II was much less devastating for French men, especially gentile French men, than World War I was).
