Ms. Wenonah Bish, who is the oldest living person in Illinois, USA, turned 113 today. She was born on 2 October 1912.

There are potentially circa 10 persons due to reach 113 (health permitting) over the months of October and November.
These should significantly enhance what has been a “slightly quieter” year to date for persons reaching this milestone.
Well done to Ms Bish for being the first of these.

Wenonah Bish, the oldest living person in the U.S. state of Illinois, celebrated her 113th birthday in Sherman on 2 October.
Bish was born in Springfield, Illinois, on 2 October 1912. She attended Springfield High School.
In the early 1930s, she married William Wright, with whom she had two children: Donald Wright Sr. and Delores Hughes (born 1933). She later remarried to Edgar A. Bish. She worked at Sangamo Electric.
