Hélène Malfuson, a resident of Marseille, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France, is celebrating her 112th birthday today, according to Jean-Marc Perrin.
Malfuson was born in Grombalia, Nabeul, Tunisia (then French Tunisia), on 29 June 1914. At some point in her life, she moved to France.
Her age was verified by Guillaume Legris of Les Grands Centenaires Français, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).
On 24 October 2024, at the age of 110 years, 117 days, she surpassed the final age of Vita Italia Diliberto, becoming the oldest known Tunisian-born person ever. On 3 April 2026, following the death of Samuèle Goustille, she became the oldest living person in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
Happy Birthday!
