Vanesta Gray, the oldest resident of the U.S. state of Nebraska, turned 112 y.o. on 16 September in Lincoln.
She was born on 16 September 1914, as the second of six children, on a farm located between Obert and Wynot in northeast Nebraska.
In the 1980s, the Gray family relocated to Lincoln. Even in her later years as a centenarian, she remained an avid fan of Huskers football and Royals baseball. At the age of 107, when asked about the secret to a long life, she laughed and admitted she didn’t have a specific answer. However, she added that getting good sleep and putting others before yourself were important.
Happy 112th Birthday!
