Leanora Watson died on 18/Apr, was the oldest person living in Jamaica since 3/Sep/2022 and the oldest person born in Jamaica since 19/Sep/22, was born on 18/Feb/1912 and died in Brissett, Lucea , Hanover, now the oldest person born in Jamaica is Merle O'Hara, born in Kingston on 20/Feb/1912 and lives in Canada, the oldest known person living in Jamaica is Ethline Simpson, however her case is questionable and her date of birth is uncertain, being that she claims to be between jan/may 1913, and lives in st. Catherine, and there is no recent news about her, the strongest case then would be Nora Miller-Welsh born on March 28, 1914 in Hannover, and lives in the same place

Jamaica is the isle of my dreams. Unfortunately I haven´t been there. When I was a child, one played the song "Sun of Jamaica" (Boney M) up and down and we loved it:-)

How cool is the curiosity about Jamaica being the island of your dreams, I hope you fulfill your dream of going there someday and I hope you enjoy your stay there a lot.

Nora Miller-Welsh died on 6 July 2024, she was born on 28 Mar 1914 and lived 110 years and 100 days. She was from the Hannover region. She became unresponsive while taking her morning bath
Now the oldest person living in Jamaica goes by the name of Uton Samuels born on 12 June 1914 in Mount Piece, Hanover and the oldest known woman in Jamaica is Nerissa Graham born on 18 Oct 1914 in the Manchester area, and still lives today in the same region
It is worth remembering that there is still the case of Ethline Simpson that has not yet been updated
She was the 17th oldest person in the history of Jamaica, her successor is 19, she remained the oldest person in the country for 1 year and 79 days, the longest time since Louisea McDonald, 1 yr, 122 days between 4 May 2021 and 3 Sep 2022. Since reliable data began to be available (2000), he is the youngest person in Jamaica to die and the oldest in the country
She is the second person in Hanover to be the oldest in the country, and the second person in the history of this region to be the oldest in the country.
