Aomori (青森県)
The oldest living person of Fujisaki Town, Aomori Prefecture, is a 109-year-old woman.

Shiga (滋賀県)
The oldest living person in Higashiōmi City, Shiga Prefecture, is Ms. Hama Takeda (武田はま), who was born on October 1, 1918, and is 107 years old.

Mie (三重県)
The oldest living person in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, is 106-year-old Ms. Kikumi Azuma (東 菊美).

Ōsaka (大阪府)
The oldest living person in Hirakata City, Ōsaka Prefecture, is a 109-year-old woman, and the oldest living man in the city is 105 years old. I think that the woman born on February 20, 1915—who was the city's oldest resident as of last September—has, regrettably, entered in "Limbo."

This is the city's population statistical data compiled by Katano City, Ōsaka Prefecture, as of August 31, 2026.
According to the data, as of that date, the city's oldest resident is a 110-year-old woman born in October 1915, while the oldest men are two 103-year-olds.

This is the town's population statistical data compiled by Kumatori Town, Osaka Prefecture, on September 1, 2026.
According to the data, the town's oldest resident is a 110-year-old woman born between March 2 and April 1, 1916, while the oldest living man is 103 years old.

Shimane (島根県)
The oldest living person in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, is a 110-year-old woman.

Miyazaki (宮崎県)
The oldest living person in Hyūga City, Miyazaki Prefecture, is Ms. Masako Kai (甲斐正子), who was born on Febrary 5, 1920, and is 106 years old.

Thank you for all these updates, Straycat. I'll process them today.

Chiba (千葉県)
-. Eito Kowase (強瀬衛人), M, 109, 1917.04.01 (lives in Tateyama) (oldest living man in Chiba prefecture) (per 1 September 2026)

As stated in the announcement by Chiba Prefecture, he does not currently reside in Tateyama City; he moved to Minamibōsō City by September of this year. Please make the necessary corrections.
The photos in this article were taken on September 19, 2026. According to the article, he was born in what is now Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture.
Also, one of his grandchildren is currently 34 years old and serves as the mayor of Minamibōsō City.

Do you know if the latest statistics are out for Ashiya, Hyōgo? We hope for an update on Chihiro Takaoka's status.

Yeah, I'm aware that she was alive as of the beginning of last month, but was hoping for 114th birthday confirmation.

It has not been confirmed in statistics yet, but someone might have turned 110 in Kurume, Fukuoka in September. I was looking through the cities statistics to see if the Woman born in July 1916 is still alive but unfortunately she went into limbo on 1 September 2025, since it went from 1 108-year-old with 2 109-year-olds to 0 108-year-olds but still 2 109-year-olds and as of 1 September 2026 there was still someone aged 109 in the city so it couldn't be that the 108-year-old died meaning that the lady born in July 1916 had to have gone into limbo in 1 September 2025 since we know that the lady born in February 1916 reached 110, So hopefully we should get the October statistics in the coming days to confirm that this lady reached 110 but it does beg the question on wether or not this 110-year-old would be the 1 110-year-old that is the oldest living person in the prefecture.
