I'm sadden to announce that Mr. Carlo Pietro De Leonardis of La Paz, Bolivia, passed away on 6 April 2023, at the age of 108.
He was born in Sabbio Chiese, Lombardy, Italy on 2 January 1915. In the 1940s, he moved to Colombia, and to Bolivia in the 1950s.
At the time of death, he was the oldest (known) living man in Bolivia.

En la madrugada de este 6 de abril falleció en La Paz a los 108 años de edad don Carlo de Leonardis, queridísimo amigo de mi padre, de quien heredé esa entrañable amistad y la de sus hijas. Don Carlo adoptó y quiso a Bolivia desde que llegó a fines de la década de 1940. Las conversaciones con él eran agradables por su lucidez y su encantadora personalidad."
