Ms. Chiyo Nonaka of Hachiōji, Tokyo prefecture, Japan sadly passed away on 26 April 2024 aged 112 years and 7 months.
She was born in Japan on 27 September 1911.

She was the 37th oldest living person in the world, 17th oldest living person in Japan, the oldest living person in Tokyo, who is now Akino Ueda born on 5 Nov 1912 and 35th oldest person in Japan, 9th oldest person in history of Tokyo, 153 oldest person in the history of Japan, tied with Koyo Hirai, with whom he shares the position of 596 oldest person in history, also tied with Melanie Leblais (FRA)
