Ms. Ines Sommovigo of La Spezia, Liguria Region (ITA) sadly passed away yesterday 16 March 2024, aged 112 y. 131 d.
She was born in the same town on 6 November 1911.

Extremely sad news! Mrs. Sommovigo was one of my favorite supercentenarians! May she R.I.P. She was an amazing person and will be deeply missed by the GSF and many more.

Sad news, I pray for her soul to rest in peace. About a week ago, I just made a comment pointing out that she share the same date of birth with Gisaburo Sonobe and are like twins.

She was the 35th oldest Italian person in history (3rd alive)
Ebe Tosi is now the oldest person living in Liguria, she was born in Ferrara, Emilia Romagna on July 11, 1913 and lives in Genoa (she is the 12th oldest living in Italy).

Confirmation she passed away on 16 March 2024 (not 17).
