Ms. Olga Abate from Victoria Australia sadly passed on June 5 at the age of 111 y. and 16 d.
She was born in San Lorenzo, Reggio Calabria, Calabria Region, Italy on 20 May 1913 and she was the true OLP for Australia at the time of her passing.

Though not back in Australia for some time, I’ll try to reconnect with the early Australian contact on Mrs Abate, over the coming days.

RIP Mrs. Olga Abate. She died the day before Lorna Henstridge's birthday so for mere hours there were no female SCs in Australia

Ken Weeks is really beginning to dominate the picture in Australia.

She was the 32nd oldest person in history to die in Australia,Ken Weeks is at 41,She passed Marie Piacentino as oldest Italian to die in Australia,Marie was born on 25 Nov 1888 and died on 21 June 1999 at 110 years, 208 days in New South Wales

Update
The italian team solved this case: Olga Domenica Creosina vid. Abate was verified as born on 20 May 1913 in San Lorenzo, Reggio Calabria, Calabria Region, Italy and passed away on 5 June 2024 in Melbourne, Australia, aged 111 years and 16 days. She really was the Doyenne of Australia at the time of her death. She will be validated, hopefully, by ESO and LQ.
