Ms. Masae Furuhashi of Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture (JPN) sadly passed away at the age of 111 years and 242 days on 23 September 2025.
She was born on 24 January 1914 in Nakaze Village, Shizuoka Prefecture (JPN).
In late February 2025, following the passing of Hamamatsu City’s previous oldest resident (111, name undisclosed), Furuhashi became the city’s oldest living person.
