She was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, United States, on 27 May 1914 (claimed 28 May).
She was the 3rd oldest living person in New York, USA.

Obituary text now says 9 July. Separate obituary says 9 July and social media posts seemingly support that, so final age was 112 years, 43 days.Ms. Bessie Riley of Poughkeepsie, New York, United States sadly passed away on 7 July 2026, aged 112 years and 41 days.

Edit: Post from Instagram supports her death being on 9 July as they said "Today". I know the top of the obituary says 7 July, but the obituary text says 9 July and the Instagram posts points to it. It also said that her birthdate was "14 May", instead of 28 May (her claimed birthdate).
