My only question is should she be called Marie Leonie Liguinen?           It seems to be how she was certainly referred to in the past.

Although her official name was Marie, she identified as Léonie in daily life. In other words, 'Léonie' could be considered a nickname.

It's somewhat analogous to the situation in the Netherlands, where many people have an official name / official names, but their "roepnaam" (literally: "call name", definitely not the same as nickname!) is different. You guys know me as Marco, which is my 'roepnaam'. My official name is (quite) different, though. I wouldn't even realise someone was trying to catch my attention if they called me by my official name, as it only shows up in official documents.

I can imagine that this applied to Marie "Léonie" Liguinen in a similar fashion.
