Dolores Fernández González (ESP, 1833? - fl.1944)

I came across this post on Facebook.

Apparently, Dolores Fernández González of Cam. de Cantalobos, Almuñécar, Andalusia, Spain, was about to turn 111 as of 26 April 1944, hence her claimed birthdate was probably mid-1833.

If age claimed, she would be the first (known) Spanish supercentenarian, born almost 30 years before Josefa Salas Mateo (1860–1973), and possibly the oldest living person at the time of death.

" 26 de abril 1944: el Ayuntamiento prepara un homenaje a Dolores Fernández González, vecina de Cantalobos, quien está a punto de cumplir 111 años "perfectamente comprobados", convirtiéndose en la persona más anciana de España. "Lo más prodigioso de la extraordinaria longevidad de esta mujer granadina es el magnífico estado de su salud, siendo también sorprendente su excelente vista y su clara inteligencia.
Dolores todavía camina sola fuera del cortijo con la sola ayuda de un bastoncillo de bambú". Dolores tiene 8 hijos, 48 nietos, 92 bisnietos y 6 tataranietos. En total: 152 descendientes directos."

Some descendants left comments on the post. One said she died at "114".
