Here is a newspaper article from the 109th birthday of Alton Everett Gilbert, who was born on June 11, 1878 in Manistee, Michigan and died on January 20, 1989 in Snohomish, Washington. FamilySearch doesn't actually say what newspaper this is, just that the article was found among the possessions of Alton's daughter.

Here's another article, dated June 7, 1978, from the Lake Stevens Journal, about his 100th birthday coming up. Same source as the first article (FamilySearch, found among his daughter's possessions).
