Magdalena Delphina (Magda) Janssens was born in Deurne, Antwerpen, on 16 March 1912. Her sister Laura died at the age of 103. She lived in Wilrijk for a long time before moving to Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Troost when she was 90.
At the age of 90, she underwent a surgery to have a pacemaker implanted. She survived the coronavirus in 2021. At the age of 109, two of her children were alive, daughter Francine (76) and son André (87). At the age of 110, she had at least three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She currently lives in Zandhoven, Antwerpen, Belgium. Her daughter Francine also lives in Zandhoven.
Mr. Janssens is currently the second-oldest living person in Belgium, behing Marcelle Levaz (born 18 Mar 1911).
