Charles Coste was born in Ollioules, France on February 8, 1924 and died on October 30, 2025 at the age of 101. He won a gold medal in the 1948 Olympics in cycling, in the men's team pursuit category.
He handed the Olympic torch to Teddy Rinner in 2024 so that he could light the Olympic cauldron.
But I brought his name here because he is the oldest living person to win a gold medal.
His successor is Nikita Simonyan, a Soviet who won gold in football in 1956. He was born on October 12, 1926.

He was also the oldest living notable cyclist.
Now it is the Frenchman from Sainte-Euphémie, born on September 3, 1924.
