@ale76 Why doesnt the gerontology wiki list Herbert Wolding as the worlds oldest male in the USA. Also, Otto Hubner is still listed among the oldest ww2 veterans page.

Joe Baker is older and is also an American man, no? Before Mr. Baker's case is checked, wouldn't it be too early to give the title to Mr. Wolding?
@futurist agreed. They should also have Mr. Zouein's age checked. I'm not too certain he was born on January 01, 1911, but he may still have been born in 1911, making him older than Baker.

Seven days older than claimed / always thought to have been. Cool!
Hmm? She's always claimed January 14.

Agreed, but getting early-life records for a man born in Lebanon might be rather difficult, no? Even if he is Christian.

That's interesting! The sources I've found all specifically mentioned 21 January as her birthday.

Congratulations then 930310.
She is one of those early cases that were very significant for her time.
Unless I have missed something she seems to have broken Delina Filkin’s record for the oldest known person to have died, when she passed in Dec 1980 at 113-242.
She held that until Fannie Thomas died the following month at 113-283.
Anna didn’t quite make WOP due to Fannie Thomas being 11 days older, but during her last few months Anna’s position (for now at least) would appear to have been the second oldest known person of all time.
I know you have some others in the pipeline which could be even more significant than this case and I look forward to their progression.
@chrisr Fannie Thomas was not 11 days older. Thomas was born the day before Murphy. Also note that Eliza Underwood was older and outlived both of them. Hopefully this fact will be reflected soon.

The issue with Eliza Underwood's case is that we'll probably never know for sure how old she was, considering that she gave completely different birthdates across her life, but it's evident that she was most likely 114+, making her the first person known to reach this age.
I feel like there should be a lower-level type of validation for cases like hers, where an approximate age can be given without trying to rank her among the other oldest validated people with an exact age (such as 114 years, 318 days), since her documentation is far less strong than SCs with birth or baptismal records. It would be a different story if she claimed a consistent DOB throughout her life, but I don't think her situation is that different from Gertrude Weaver's (aka she had no idea what her actual birthday was).
I suspect that quite a few GRG-validated American cases won't be recognized by LQ, especially the ones born in the 1880s who lack any documentation from the first 10 years of life.
