It is incomprehensible to Denmark's oldest person, 112-year-old Kirsten Schwalbe in Struer, that more people follow her videos around the world.
Recently, a Canadian wrote to us that he is a big fan of her.
- It is incredible that they can see something in such an old woman like me, says Kirsten Schwalbe with a laugh.

Anthony Housefather, who sits in the Canadian parliament, has also invited Kirsten to Canada, and would like to show the parliament around.

- That is quite an invitation! I would certainly like to do that, but it is not possible, says Kirsten.

- No, he has to come here instead, she concludes with a laugh.

Else Henrichsen

She is the 76th oldest person in the history of Denmark.

The Doyenne of Denmark with her book, reels posted today.

The record Kirsten Schwalbe from Struer sets on Wednesday, October 14, is absolutely extraordinary.

On that day, she reaches the age of 112 years and 218 days—officially making her the oldest person in Denmark’s history.

Remarkably, Kirsten also has an 87-year-old daughter who has moved into a nursing home—unlike Kirsten herself.

Kirsten Schwalbe’s advanced age is something that impresses her daughter, Else Petersen.

"I do find it remarkable, because no one else in Denmark reaches that age," she says.

She is proud to have a mother who has lived to such a great age, yet she also has a small admission to make herself.

Kirsten is 112.5+, her brother is turning 105 later this, and her daughter is 87. That's over 304 years combined for the three. I wonder if that's a record for a living person + sibling + child all simultaneously.

Not every day an 87-year-old has a living 112.5-year-old mother and near 105-year-old uncle.

It's quite far from the record yet, which is at least ~313 years (Lilian Priest 112.5, Gwen Moore 109.5, Gwen's daughter Joan c.~91 at the time Lilian's death), but I suppose Kame Ganeko and/or Kikue Taira had children close to (or above) 90 at the time of Kame's death, so that would be ~314 years.
