Georges Thomas (19 November 1911 - 1 June 2024) was the oldest verified man in the world from 2 April to 1 June 2024 and the oldest French man ever. A new picture of him has been released with the article linked below, taken less than a month before his death.

He looks in incredible shape for age 112. He could pass for 80 easily. May he rest in peace

That might help explain why he was able to beat Meys's and Theobald's records for the oldest verified French man.
