Mr Weeks is now Australia's 3rd oldest verified man ever.
He sits behind the quite recently new record holder - Dexter Kruger at 111-188 - who died in 2021.
And the prior record holder Jack Lovelock at 111-123, who passed away in 2002.

At this stage I cannot find anything in our local (Australian) newspapers, nor internet articles.

It would be lovely Futurist if he becomes the first Australian man to ever reach 112. However, we need to remember that tomorrow is not guaranteed for any supercentenarian or even any of us.
Be kind to everyone. Treat everyone like they're your own family. Don't judge others. Accept everyone for who they are regardless of what they do or look like.

No one over here in Australia seems to be very aware of this.
I’ve dropped a note to his local Member of Parliament, given that gentleman has been to see him a couple of times. So we’ll see what (if anything) transpires.
Possibly nothing for a few weeks as we have an election here on 3rd May - hence members of parliament are rather busy.

How about inviting Mr. Weeks to the Australian Parliament in honor of this special occasion, after the Australian elections?
17/04/2025 1:05 pm
It would be a circa 900 km journey from Grafton to Canberra.
Either two flights or about 10 hours in a car.
that’s well beyond realistic expectations for a supercentenarian.

And Mr Weeks deserves far better than having to meet most of our politicians!😄😄

Charlotte Hughes flew by plane at age 110 and Herman Smith Johannsen went on a vacation from Canada to Norway at age 111.

Ken Weeks was visited by his local member of parliament. He seems to still be able to walk unassisted too.

He appears to be in great shape for a man who's almost 112!

Time for an update on Mr Weeks’s more recent achievements.
He has now been Australia’s oldest man for over 4 years, having assumed the title on 17 September 2022.
He is the fourth oldest Australian ever now, having recently surpassed Molly Yeomans at 112-333.
Today he ties the record of Ilie Ciocan at 112-351, for the oldest man born in 1913.
And health permitting …
His 113th birthday is imminent and 6 days later he would surpass the record for Australia’s oldest ever man by a full 18 months.
