Rashid Karimov of Tajikistan, previously believed to have been deceased due to what we now know was a death hoax, celebrated his claimed 112th birthday on 9 May 2024. If his age is true, he would be the world's oldest living man since the death of JVPM

Mr. Karimov sadly passed away on 24 August 2025, at the claimed age of 113 y.

R.I.P. Rashid Karimov. Even if he wasn't 113, I think it's likely that he was at least a centenarian at the time of his death

Mr. Rashid Karimov of Shokhambari, Gissar District, Tajikistan, sadly passed away on 24 August at the claimed age of 113 years, 54/107 days.
He claimed birth on 9 May/1 July 1912 and he would have been the oldest man from Shi Ping's passing until his own, assuming his age was true.

With his death, Fotima Salimova now becomes the claimant to be the oldest living person in Tajikistan, born on January 20, 1913, at least she claims to have been born on this date.
