Ms. S., the anonymous lady from Setagaya, Tokyo pr. (JPN) was born on 14 May 1912.
Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Masahiro Yamada and Marco Wikkerink, and validated by LongeviQuest on 9 September 2025.
As of 30 December 2025, she is the oldest living person in Tokyo pr. (JPN), 3rd oldest living person in Japan, 12th validated oldest living person in the world.
As of 30 December 2025, she lives in Setagaya, Tokyo pr. (JPN).
aged 113 on 14 May 2025.

On 17th February 2026, following the sad passing of Ms. Ricci, the anonymous lady from Setagaya became the World's 10th-oldest validated living person.

At 113 years, 279 days - the anonymous lady from Setagaya is the 'youngest' entrant to the Top 10 since Pearl Berg (113 years, 276 days) on 4 July 2023.

Yes … regrettably we have moved into the top end of the 113 cohort, for the last 3 or 4 entrants into the top 10.

Just as Fuyo Kishimoto moved to a different nursing home, it’s possible that this woman also moved to another town.

Of course, it's also possible that they simply moved, like Ms. Mine Kondō. At this point, the only thing that is certain is that she does not currently live in Setagaya Ward. And I can only hope that she is still alive.

It is fairly rare for supercentenarians to move - so the news is more than likely to be negative.
Here’s hoping I’m wrong.
