According to the GRG website he has been pending for several years.

@930310 thank you for that. I was very confused because I had originally thought he had been pending for a while, but a few weeks ago a user on Facebook told me that his "pending" status had been a mistake. Now another user told me that as of yesterday the GRG started looking into his case for the 1st time. My mind is frazzled. I think someone is trying to troll me.

Are these people actually believed to be plausible cases by the GRG? Why are validated cases like Sarah Knauss included here? Is there an updated version of this list, and if so may I have a link please?

Firstly, welcome aboard Billy Robinson.

In respect of Mr Anisio R Alves, clearly he would be a very high profile case to validate.

Given there have been questions around the quality of some of the more recent GRG validations, one wonders whether they are more interested in the profile the case may bring them, than the very high level of proof that must accompany this particular case.

I noticed that in the past week or so Mrs. Koku Istambulova (1889?-2019) has been trending. I have no idea why, but I found it a little strange. I highly doubt she was the age claimed (129 years & 240 days). Has anyone checked the ages of her children, or know if she's debunked?

Maria Kononovich confirmed status as now "pending" by the GRG by a user on Facebook. However I am skeptical that this is true. Trolling? Or has she really been changed to pending?

@aquanaut_chalk she isn't on the website and at the moment hasn't been confirmed pending. Assuming it's either false or not public information from the GRG

I doubt a GRG Facebook user would reveal this considering how secretive and non-transparent the GRG is.

@930310 Agreed. I think someone is trying to troll me. Because this is the same Facebook user that has made odd claims in the past. When something sounds strange or too good to be true, I always confirm it here so that way I myself don't spread false information

Just thought that maybe these cases should be re-looked into.

I really doubt Sudhakar Chaturvedi is the age claimed, but I think these cases should be investigated further and either validated or debunked. Does anyone have any additional information on any of the cases listed above?

I don't see anything come up when I search his name on the internet. I have seen a lot of trolling in the past day, including a user on the WSF making death threads for Edie, Tomiko, Juan, Carter, Clinton, and Bush, and the same person making a Putin death thread on the 110 Club, and saying Pearl Berg had died in a YouTube comment. I am sure Ale76 would have been contacted if Mr. Giannini had passed away

Am also googling a few sites from here in Australia, Aquanaut Chalk, and no bad news to date.

Most of Europe will still be asleep for a few hours yet.

Thank you guys for confirming that Mr. Giannini is still alive, I am relieved to know that he is still with us. The amount of disrespect that there is in, joking about the death of a supercentenarian is unbelievable.

Just looking back on this now... he literally died days after this death hoax was made

Tomisaburo Wakui being reported on the gerontology wiki as having passed away on 05 July, is this true? Or another hoax by troll?

Sadly it is true, LQ confirmed that he passed away. 

Dejan now claiming that Mr. Eulofio Diaz (1909?-2019) a supercentenarian claimant from Honduras is false? I hadn't heard anything from LQ to back up this claim from Dejan.

@aq that's funny because I believe that just had him listed as validated a few days ago. At least I remember finding a Honduran SC who was just over the age of 110 when I reading through their validations by year. I should have archived it...
