Doyenne of Ecuador: ?

The Doyen of Ecuador is Mr. Senovio Saavedra Muela (born 30 October 1912, 109).
He became the oldest known living man in Ecuador, following the death of 110-year-old Julio Cesar Mora on 22 October 2020.
Mr. Saavedra Muela currently lives in San Mateo, Esmeraldas, Esmeraldas Province, Ecuador.

If we're including undocumented/unverified cases, then what is the standard for deciding who's the doyen or doyenne of a country? Senovio Saavedra Muela is currently the only known documented living 108+ year old from Ecuador, so he could be a good candidate for the title of "doyen", but for the doyenne category we'd just be choosing between unverified cases, meaning that Elvia Vera Loor is sort of an arbitrary titleholder by this point. The oldest living Ecuadorian claim I'm aware of is a woman who claims to be 115. There's also a man who claims to be 113.

I really appreciate the fact that you're drawing attention to all these Latin American countries, as they're often overlooked in favor of more developed nations. However, I think it would be best to instead focus on the countries where LAS actually has verified male and female cases.

Maybe lists could be made of all the claimants that we know of, similar to the "Claims from Country X (108+)" on the 110 Club.

Still, Ale added a question mark on Elvia...is not as if he added her as a true case. For example, he added some more claims, like the woman from South Africa, with a question mark...doesn't mea he thinks she's documented or anything.

@heatwave116 That list is very hard to update...Stefan did one but still has a lot of work to be done on it.

Elvia Vera Loor, was confirmed alive today on 5 November 2022 at the age of 113. According to the Gerontology Wiki article, she was born around 12 May 1909, but she recently celebrated her 115th birthday. Her family claims they do not know the exact date she was born. This was confirmed by one of her acquaintances or relatives, I don't know who it is. Her birthday is celebrated for fun several times a year, regardless of her actual birthday.

In the comments of a post about the alleged 110th birthday in 2018, he responded and said that the only thing he could do to help was to confirm that she was still alive and nothing more.

So much from me, just to let it be known that she is still alive.

The Doyenne of Ecuador could be Ms. Maria Magdalena Vera Vera (born 29 November 1914, 108). She was born in Zapallo, Chone, Manabi Province, Ecuador.
Her case is currently pending on LAS.
